Overview:
As your business grows, you may want to expand into new countries or speed up your product creation process. Eaglecart provides two powerful tools in the top right corner of your screen: Duplicate, which saves you time by copying existing products, and Localize, which allows you to translate your products into a 2nd language to sell internationally.
Here is how to use the Action menu to duplicate and translate your items.
Part 1: How to Duplicate a Product
If you are adding a new product that is very similar to one you already sell (e.g., a handbag that has the exact same shipping weight, dimensions, and variants, but a different pattern), you do not need to start from scratch!
Open the existing product you want to copy.
Click the white Action button located at the top right of the screen.
Select Duplicate from the dropdown menu.
The system will instantly create an exact copy of the product as a "Draft." You can now easily change the title and images without having to re-enter all the heavy data!
Part 2: How to Localize (Translate) a Product
If you sell to a multi-zone audience (for example, customers in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia), you may want to offer your website in multiple languages, like English and Arabic.
Eaglecart makes translating products incredibly easy with a side-by-side view.
Open the product you want to translate.
Click the white Action button at the top right of the screen.
Select Localize.
At the top of the Localization page, click the "Choose language..." dropdown and select your target language (e.g., العربية / Arabic).
Part 3: Entering Your Translations
Once you select your language, the screen will split into two columns. The left side shows your Default language (e.g., English), and the right side is where you type your Translated text.
Name & Description: Translate your product title and description into the right-hand boxes. You have full access to the rich-text editor to ensure your translated description looks just as good as the original!
Search Engine Listing (SEO): Scroll down to translate your SEO data. This is crucial for international Google rankings! Translate your Page / Meta Title and Meta Description.
URL: You can even translate the specific website link (URL slug) for this product so it reads natively in your second language.
Click the black Save button at the top right!
