Overview:
Adding products is the first step to building your Eaglecart store. Our system allows you to easily upload physical products, organize them using tags and collections, and assign them to specific sales channels (like your Online Store or POS).
Here is how to set up the basic foundation of a new product.
Step 1: Add Basic Details
To get started, navigate to Products on your left-hand admin menu and click Add Product (or edit an existing one).
Name: Type the exact title of your product (e.g., Zip Closure 3-Piece Handbags Set).
Description: Use the rich-text editor to write a detailed description. You can use bold text, bullet points, and formatting to highlight key features, materials, and delivery times.
Category: Select the main system category for your item (e.g., Handbags).
Step 2: Organize Your Product
On the right side of the screen, you will see the Product Organization menu. Properly organizing your products helps your customers find them easily on your website.
Class & Vendor: Group your products by their specific class (e.g., Handbag) and list the vendor/supplier name.
Collections: Click the box to assign this product to one or multiple Collections on your store (e.g., Handbags, Women's Bags).
Tags: Add specific keywords separated by commas (e.g., Top Zip Closure, 3 pcs Handbag). Tags are great for website search and filtering.
Step 3: Upload Product Media
High-quality images are crucial for making sales. Scroll down to the Media section to upload your files.
Click the "+" (Plus) box or drag and drop your files into this area.
You can upload unlimited images to show off different angles of your product.
Video Support: You can also upload a product video (up to 20 MB) to give customers a real-life look at the item!
Step 4: Set Status, Channels, and Regions
Before saving, look at the top right side of your screen to configure where and how this product is sold.
Status: Choose Active if the product is ready to sell, or Draft if you are still working on it and want to hide it from customers.
Sales Channels: Check the boxes to decide where this product can be purchased. You can sell it strictly on your Online Store, only on your Point of Sale (POS), or check both!
Regions: If you have multi-zone shipping set up, you can select which specific countries or regions this product is allowed to be sold in.
