Advanced Settings: Min/Max Qty Limits & WhatsApp Action Buttons?

Written by Support

Overview:
Sometimes you need extra control over how your customers interact with specific products. Whether you want to prevent a reseller from buying all your inventory, force a minimum bulk order, or encourage customers to contact you directly on WhatsApp to close a high-value sale, Eaglecart gives you full control.

Here is how to configure advanced inventory rules and custom "Add to Cart" buttons.

Step 1: Setting Minimum and Maximum Order Quantities

If you sell wholesale, or if you have a highly limited promotional item, you can restrict exactly how many units a customer is allowed to put in their cart per order.

Scroll down the right side of your product page to the Inventory Control section:

  1. Minimum order quantity: If you require customers to buy in bulk (e.g., they must buy at least 5 units), enter that number here.

  2. Maximum order quantity: If you want to prevent a single buyer from clearing out your stock of a popular item (e.g., limit 2 per customer), enter the max number here.

  3. Daily Capacity: If you sell a service or a product that you can only produce a certain amount of per day (e.g., you can only bake 50 cakes a day), enter your daily limit here.

Step 2: Customizing the Call to Action (Action Button)

By default, every product in your Eaglecart store has a standard "Add to Cart" button. However, for complex products, custom quotes, or high-value items, you might want the customer to message you directly instead of just clicking "Buy."

Eaglecart allows you to change the Call to Action button on a per-product basis!

Scroll down the right side of the screen to the Action button section. Click the dropdown menu to choose from three powerful options:

  • Default: This displays the standard "Add to Cart" button.

  • Whatsapp only: This completely removes the "Add to Cart" button and replaces it with a "Message on WhatsApp" button, sending the customer directly to your store's WhatsApp number to negotiate or ask questions.

  • Whatsapp and Default (Both): This displays both buttons side-by-side, giving the customer the choice to buy immediately or chat with you first!
